Re: Shae's Writing!
I'm following NaNoWriMo on Facebook/Twitter. They give you daily prompts to do.
Today's writing prompt, we dare you to write 100 words inspired by the last song you listened to. And in the NaNo spirit: let it be free-writing! Don't second guess yourself, don't hesitate.
Here is my prompt...
Smooth Criminal
Todd slowly crept towards the dark, mysterious home at the end of the street. He had heard horrid stories about this place, how the husband killed the children first and then the mother slowly, painfully. He heard that the husband had played with the mother before killing her, chasing her through the home, a knife in hand, a dark look in his eyes. She was losing blood fast, and he knew he only had a small amount of time left, but he was having so much fun. She was running when she tripped over her own ankles and fell to the floor, it was then when the husband gave up his little game and killed her once and for all.
The husband was never heard from again.
The last song I listened to was Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson, cover version by Alien Ant Farm.

This is a poem for my story that I'm working on.
The poem is actually a little song/saying that is said in my story for that time frame.
Lightning Snaps
Thunder, thunder,
Here ye come,
Lightning flash,
One by one.
We pray ye come
And light the way,
But leave death for
Another day.
