This is Bluu just posting on a story I worked on the first week the site was made. This is our mascot Alia and the story of her and Terravore. This is to help our users in case they want to know whats really behind Terravore and other information that shows the theme and story line behind the site. I made this piece from my own imagination and it was all inspired from a paint color. You know when you go to home depot and they have the color strips for all the paint? Well I got my story from a simple color strip called "Spiced berry". It was a deep red and I thought of the eyes of an owl in a distressful time.

The story of Alia

Black soot covered the ground like frost, cold and hardened into crumbled and fractured earth. Tree's once tall and clothed in brilliant green, now lie in fallen piles. Their ivory skeletons dusted with gray. Golden leaves spread across the shadowy landscape like fire. Everything was torn apart. Zombie-like roots reached out towards the thickly clouded sky, which was littered with ash and dust, that fell to the earth like an ominous snow.

In this cemetery of defeated giants stood one last survivor. An aspen. hardly alive and needing the support of its dead brothers. It's skin was crisscrossed with long scars, and sap oozed from its wounds. The base of the trunk was caked in mud and many of its leaves gathered around the bones of the other tree's. The aspen only had a few of them left, hanging onto brittle fingers. They glowed brightly with the last light of the amber sun that peeked through the filthy clouds. As dusk took watch of the world the leaves lost their luster and resumed a near transparent beige.

Perching in this last tree was a tawny owl. Her plumes speckled with browns and ruffling in the chilly waves of wind. Her black beak opened and loud screeches radiated into the twilight.
"Look at what you did to my home!"
Her once soft scarlet eyes turned a dark crimson,
"This is my home, Alia's home!"
Alia tightened her talons into the dying flesh of the aspen. Her screaming echoing into the vast miles of shadowy wilderness. She flapped her dusty wings furiously, muttering to herself as she stalked her way along the arms of the tree.
"These beasts, Tyrant beasts. Hideous naked creatures, vile consumers of our home. Taking everything we had. Blowing it to pieces."
Alia's voice faded away and she puffed out her feathers to keep warm. The wind whispered against her and its toxic thickness infiltrated her body. Alia soon fell asleep. She dreamed of the forest she once lived in. Before the bald creatures had come and destroyed it. When everything was simple and you didn't have to hide. Eat, sleep, fly, and eat again. But there was no prey to eat now. She did not want to dream of that. Alia's mind drifted towards memories of holidays, when her family used to harvest the spiced berries in the summers, or the nights when it seemed like darkness would reign forever. Those days were pleasant when owls and life was abundant.

Loud cracking lifted the eyes of Alia. The tree was breaking. The last tree. Her mind was soggy with the poison air and she could not move. Her heartbeat was down to a slow tremor, her lungs seemed to freeze up with toxic breath. She tried to lift her wings but the would not stir. She was aware of everything and knew she had no way out of her plummet. It was like giant claws had gripped around her making her immobile. A sudden jolt sent the world spinning into madness, she was falling.

Alia felt the ground and leaves and peace. Though her bones were just like that of the tree's. Crushed, bruised, and her blood spillt like the sap of their scars. She felt no pain, just the kisses of death and shadows enclosing her mind. Ringing sounded in her ears and her soft sunset eyes returned. Alia's face was turned towards the sky, where she belonged, and the last pale leaves fluttered down. One landing on her chest feathers.
"This leaf"
  She croaked.
"It is green"
And as her last words puffed from her beak she fell into a very deep darkness.

The legend of Alia

After Alia's death the humans ruled the world and destroyed it completely and in doing so destroyed themselves. A few hundred years after the extinction of the humans the earth began to regrow and flourish, just like it did in Alia's childhood. Many earthquakes had crumbled the earth into unknown continents and islands and one region is supposedly haunted by the lost spirit of an owl. This landmass became inhabited and is now named Terravore the place we know of today. Alia's spirit can sometimes be seen roaming the sky's of the islands of Terravore and it is said that the land of Terravore is her home she lost to the humans generations earlier. Sometimes her spirit has come to Terravorians in dreams to give them messages to help preserve the land and forests she once tried to protect. She is now our mysterious mascot and treasured protector. Many Terravorians will see Alia in their dreams to help protect and fight for our land, this is the creation of our slogan "A Legion of Predators". This is the legend of Alia and the creation of Terravore

You're such an amazing story writer...oh my.. that was amazing.

If you were ever to continue it, I'd love to read more!
Also, since you're such a good writer, I'd suggest writing more stories like this. I love reading them.
